About Us:

Exploration Drill Rigs Pty Ltd (XDR’s) is Australian owned and operated and was established in March 2007.  XDR manufactures innovative drilling rigs for the minerals industry, post-hole borers and onshore workover rig packages used for onshore oil and gas well consisting of Workover Rigs, Mud trailers and Catwalks.

The XDR Workover Rig Packages have a proven track record in Australia of reducing the overall cost of well servicing by up to 50 per cent and bringing the wells into production faster.

Unlike the traditional workover rigs, the XDR Workover Rig is built on a standard 8X4 truck which is in gauge for road conditions allowing for workover rig moves between wells without road permits. The patented mast design does not require guy ropes which enables the XDR Workover Rig to be set up on a well site within 30 minutes. The XDR Workover Rig utilises electronic over hydraulic controls and interlocks enabling the tripping of up to 100 tubulars per hour with fewer crew members than traditional workover rig packages. The XDR Hands Free System provides safe tripping in and out of wells without the need for human handling of tubulars.

XDR also has track record of providing companies with engineering design services that has resulted in the development of innovative new products for the minerals, oil and gas and energy industries.  XDR is able to provide customised design services to it customers.

XDR’s Australian engineers specialise in consulting, service and design in the Oil, Gas, Industrial and Manufacturing Sectors. The team of experienced professionals possess extensive knowledge and experience that provide successful cost effective and functional design solutions on time.

The design team is able to conceptualise, solve problem, offer practical solutions, research, develop innovative solutions, undertake prototype testing, manufacture and assemble the designed equipment, provide functional descriptions, commissioning documents, 3D & 2D modelling, electrical design and engineering drawings.

The designs are certified our client’s specifications and requirements by our own Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland.

XDR owns and operates a purpose rig building manufacturing facility in Gujarat, India.  This facility also provides manufacturing outsourcing services for companies wanting to build export quality hydraulic, electrical, mobile equipment and heavy fabricated parts at an internationally competitive cost.  XDR can also provide a base for companies looking to establish in India.
